The varietal that started it all for Boyd! After 22 months of aging in 70% new Nadalie and Taransaud barrels, the Merlot was blended with 7% Napa Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec. This blend accentuates the black fruit of Merlot with vanilla overtones that express the deep rich flavors of our vineyard.
The Syrah has aromas of sweet blackberry, cigar box, spicy black pepper and subtle hints of violet. A bold offering with bright fruit flavors of dark plum, chocolate and baking spices. Lush tannins lend to the brilliant texture and long, lingering mouth feel in this structured, yet elegant wine.
This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, 100% from the Mogambo Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District, 100% aged in new French Oak barrels and 100% delicious!! This Cab is complex with spice and pepper. 458 cases produced
